Other then play testing the new system BF's art has taken a new direction. Colors are still not my best friend so i've chosen to stay in the B&W world for now.

But, taking photoshop lessons seems to be paying off. As usual my first try was done with the human body, considering it's level of difficulty.

Final Fantasy XIV Closed Beta & Details
Closed beta is set to be for March 11th! Sadly however I was not among the candidates for this beta. It's closed anyways.. I'd rather be picked for the more polished beta. :D Have to look at the good side of things.
With the beta under progression lots of new information has been released on the game. This will be the second final fantasy to be on a MMORPG level. FF XI being the first and it was full of set backs and a very buggy system but in it's current state is about 10 times better then it use to be. What can you expect? FF 11 was one of the first few big MMORPG's to be released.
Onward to FF XIV!

There are no Job's or levels according to SE but Disciplines.
Advancing in a Discipline such as Magic, Land, War or Hand is based on exactly what weapons you use ect... The Magic Disciples has the Thaumaturge and Conjurer classes revealed so far. War has Gladiator,Archer Lancer, Marauder and Pugilst. Disciples of the Land has Botanist and Miner revealed. The Disciples of the Hand are Alchemist, Blacksmith, Culinarian, Tanner and Weaver.
What makes this game interesting? Having classes that feature just normal everyday things like a Blacksmith or Miner in your party. What benefits can you get from having them in your party? The Blacksmith increases the spoils of war your party earns and specializes in defeating enemies based on "earth, metal and stone types" They also state that through customizing your character the Battle Ready Blacksmith is possible. I think FFXIV will beak the mold for MMORPGS. I'm looking forward to it!
Final Fantasy XIII Released!
It seems the day has from for 13 to finally be released! I've followed the making of the game for quite a while and watched is progression. It seems to flow with a more linear and action rpg style then the regular look of final fantasy. I probably won't go out and purchase the game until it drops in price. I'm just not a fan of it's linear style of moving forward and ability to only control one character at a time. I don't second guess that it has a very rich storyline and a beautifully crafted world with very diverse characters. From what i've seen it's a pinnacle for how much detail is in the world itself. It's just not on my top to buy list. Maybe FF 12 ruined my taste for the new ones? All in all I do hope it gets high reviews because it does look like an awesome game.

Diablo 3 Blizzcon New Character Class!
Great news for anyone who likes the new class in Diablo 3. Just as everyone else said, the new class was the most unexpected out of all the possible outcomes. Most games don't cater to the monk class because of their lack of weaponry but it seems that blizzard wants to break the mold! I was so excited when I first saw this! Finally an action rpg with a kick ass Monk in it! Be sure to check out some of moves along with a couple videos. You can see the new class here.

Diablo 2 Release As Soon As Next Year!?
In recent events of Blizzard delaying starcraft they have stated that this delay won't effect other titles for the blizzard franchise AND that we should be expecting to see two titles being released from blizzard next year. :D

Not so Good News For StarCraft 2 Fans
Well, my predictions for when SC2 was coming out were about correct for the game being done anyways. Blizzard has just announced that SC2 was ready for this October and still is ready BUT, don't get your hopes up..... It seems that the new Battle.net hasn't been playing nicely. So, SC2 will be pushed back to the first quarter of 2010. I'm guessing for a March - April release for the game. Sucks.. but who the hell wants to play SC2 without playing it online! That's the best part!

OC REMIX! Massive Collection
OCremix has released an entire album based on Final Fantasy IV.
It's one of the largest and longest albums I have seen released on OCremix.
It boasts a remarkable 36 artists, with 46 tracks compiling over 200 minutes of remixed madness.

Square Enix Teaser Website --- Revealed ( 4 warriors of light)
Seems old squeenix is up to teasing us with a countdown site to some game? Every once and a while a little more is added onto the picture. Now we have a dragon with a fwe people riding it along with the number 4 being present. Perhaps it's the 4 warriors of light, old school squaresoft stuff!? Whatever it is it's got a faint MIDI tune playing in the backround making the sound of a sweet older RPG. Hope it's something cool!

So far for me the gaming scene hasn't been anything special. But, since this past E3 i'm anticipating quite a few titles!

Why? It's going to be gunned at 'casual gamers" unlike final fantasy XI and to boot, Nobuo Uematsu is directing the music! One of the greatest video game composers in the world.
Zelda - 2010
The new zelda is supposively suppose to come out in 2010. Do I believe this... Hell no! We all know how nintendo likes to say Zelda will come out this year.. but then delay it 3 times. Oh, well though they delay just to make the game better! This Zelda is suppose to be aimed at the more mature audience. Which is why i'm looking forward to it.
Castlevania - Lords of Shadow- Trailer Here!
Castlevania will hit it's mark this time! This one is going to be a fully 3d one. I think they are gunning to make this game full of smooth action game play similar to Symphony of the Night. Now, if they can pull this off in 3D i'll be addicted to this game like crack.
Oh.. and can I say that I do believe Starcraft 2 will definetly be coming out before the end of this year. That's great for SC Fans!

If you are a regular BF home page viewer please let me know! I've been very busy and haven't had much time to update the site. But, if there are many of you who view the site then i'll make the time! Otherwise it will be slow for updates considering how busy I am.

The only updates as of lately are Blizzard has recently cracked down on hackers polluting the Battle Net Realms on Diablo 2. Apparently with this new patch they are implementing new tools to catch all third party programs present while playing D2.Battle Field Updates
On The Battle Field side of the spectrum, i've been working on quite a few new character sketches which are a couple portraits and a few new costume designs for some of the characters.
I've also been working on the layout for the Past Battle Field Campaign.
Check out the section listed on the home page only BFupdates for information on the new skill tree design and so forth.

There will be no actual Final Fantasy XIII demo on the Advent Children Complete DVD for the english release. There will only be a trailer. :(

More News on The Diablo 2 Content Patch
From what I gather this patch must be something really big if they are actually doing a beta test for it! Read what blizzard had to say about it below! I am so up for doing some beta testing!

So yeah, we're still working on the patch. It's coming along really well. We're getting there. I can't give an estimate or date, we're expecting there to be a good amount of testing required due to the types of changes being made. We want to take our time and put out a solid patch, and that means we don't have a release date right now.
Some exciting news - and it also may be some comfort - due to the types of changes we're making we will be offering the Diablo II 1.13 patch for testing and feedback on a test realm before its release. We'll have more information about how you'll be able to help test it in the coming weeks.
